About the role

Build the product that recovers overdue revenue for our customers. You will own features end to end across our TypeScript stack, from the AI systems that drive outreach to the dashboard our customers use every day. This is an in-person role at our Pleasant Grove office.

About Interval

Interval is an AI powered collections platform, and we operate in two distinct ways. First-party collections, run through Interval AI Corporation, puts our AI to work under a business’s own brand, with custom controls on tone, contact, and messaging, so outreach always feels like it is coming from the business itself. Third-party collections is handled by our subsidiary, Interval Recovery Services, a licensed collection agency that steps in once first-party efforts have run their course and operates under its own compliance framework.

Across both, our thesis stays the same. An overdue balance does not erase the person behind it. We build Interval so every overdue consumer is seen and heard, given clear information and real options, rather than pressure alone. Getting businesses paid while treating consumers like people is the balance our team is here to build and protect.

What you'll do

Build and evaluate the AI systems behind our automated outreach, including the evals that measure and improve conversation quality.
Improve collection rates by refining the machine learning models behind our outreach timing, channel, and messaging decisions.
Build and maintain the customer-facing dashboard our clients use every day to track collections activity.
Ship reporting and metrics that give customers, and our own team, a clear view into performance.
Own features end to end across our TypeScript, Next.js, and Node.js stack, from idea to production.

What we're looking for

3+ years of experience building production web applications, ideally in TypeScript.
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Node.js, and Next.js.
Comfortable leaning on AI tools to move fast without losing command of the underlying code.
A history of side projects or personal builds you are proud of.
Previous startup experience is a strong plus.
Based in or willing to work in person at our Pleasant Grove, Utah office.
